I read about this yesterday. I'm excited because Bishop is a great goalie. And sad at the same time because Budaj has helped the Kings tremendously this season and has grown a lot amongst the team and Kings fans (myself included). I will most certainly miss Budaj.
A lot is riding on Quick due to this trade so I hope he does not disappoint. He played really well in his first game back against the Ducks so hopefully he can help carry the team to the playoffs.

I don't think that was a good trade. Yes Bishop is a great goalie but Budaj has been kicking butt and now Quick is healthy again. I think it was a "bruins style" trade if I ever saw one. Lets take a player who the fans are rallying behind and trade him....

But so much riding on this trade right Quick comes back. Budaj a huge fan favorite and now loss.

At least you have a solid backup so Quick doesn't have to be overworked. I'm sure Budaj was getting tired but still, I don't like seeing fan favorites traded. The last 4 years of B's trades has made me over sensitive lol.

* Clubs will have two options for players they wish to protect in the Expansion Draft:
a) Seven forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender
b) Eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender
So who gets protected, Quick or Bishop?

I really REALLY like his style of hockey, he did well for us as a Bruin. I swear he is going to play for every team for 1 season, dude is like the ringer that gets traded around lol.
