Yeah... It's me again. Don't worry, I won't stay too long.
You may hate (or maybe someone like him) the guy. I personally don't know him enough to forge an opinion. But you have to admit he's good! He know's his business more than any past or present President, Senator or congressman I know. Ok, I don't know that many! I guess the Chairman is GOP and Vice-Chairman Dem. I liked the Chairman intro better, the other guy was trying to score political points.

He is an intelligent man and popular opinion on him is he is a stand up man.
That being said.
He tarnished his credibility, IMHO, when he "recommended" no charges against HRC. That was not his position to do so. His job is to provide the evidence and let the AG make that decision. The big part of that action too is, since when is ignorance of the law a reason not to prosecute? For you or me, that would NEVER be allowed.
Second is, all of the sudden the Dem side is glorifying Comey a year after they all wanted his head on a pike and fired! But now, he should have never been fired! WTH!? And all of the people claiming the investigation is over because Comey was fired....NO!! The investigation continues, it wasn't Comey doing the actual investigation!

The world, or the men in this is case, is not black and white. I question some of his decision myself but not his integrity in the FBI institution.

I liked the Chairman intro better, the other guy was trying to score political points. I've been listening to the testimony, it is on right now at work as I type. I haven't heard anything that puts Trump in a place where the President broke any laws. I also haven't heard anything that makes the President look great either. You could spin it to support either extreme from what I have heard. As far as Comey, I have a BIG problem with him and wanted him fired well before Trump was our President. In my opinion the FBI, under James Comey, completely dropped the ball as far as terrorism goes. They had the Miami nightclub shooter on a watchlist yet he was still able to go into that LBGT nightclub and kill people. They had the Zerniev (sp) brothers, 2 refugees living off government assistance in my state, also under watch yet those 2 brothers were able to blow up the Boston Marathon just a few miles away from where I was working at the time. To me this shows FBI incompetence and, as the head of the organization, I held Comey accountable. Nothing to do with this testimony but I figured I'd give you a little background on my opinion of the man. EDIT: Shane the dropping the ball on the terrorist thing was so egregious to me that I didn't even think to bring up the Clinton Email Server scandal. Speaking of Clinton, why aren't we investigating Hillary and Bill in regards to Russia? The Clintons received millions from speeches in Russia and, as Secretary Of State, Hillary gave Russia more Uranium. Just sayin....

OMFG the spins on each side!
Comey needs to be careful. He may find himself in the hot seat. He leaked a Fed document to a friend to release to the press, to spur a special investigation. WTF?
Trump just needs to keep his mouth shut. He didn't try and force anything or abuse his power to close investigations. Let it stop there.

Some positives for President Trump:
It was confirmed that President Trump and his administration did not have any collusion with the Russians It was confirmed that President Trump himself is not, and has never been, under investigation for anything in regards to Russia Comey's testimony showed that President Trump did not obstruct justice
Some negatives for President Trump:
Him asking for the loyalty of an FBI director has very bad optics Him asking Comey to back off of Flynn also does not have good optics, for the same reason.
Negative for Comey:
He admitted to leaking a classified document to a friend so that friend can give it to the press. Regardless of his motive that was wrong and illegal.

It wasn't confirmed that Trump entourage did not have any collusion with the Russians. Trump is not directly under investigation. That doesn't mean he couldn't be included in the investigation as it progress. That is why Comey didn't want to say publicly that he wasn't under investigation. I don't understand how you can say Comey's testimoney showed Trump did not obstruct justice and that he asked for the loyalty of a FBI director as well as backing off from the Flynn investigation. Comey made sure he did not give the impression he already draw a conclusion. Smart and experienced. The "document" he "leaked" was not a classified document. It was his personal notes in which he made sure there wasn't any classified material. Now to be sure of that he will have to ask his friend to give it back and show it.

Could had been a lot worst. Sure they "work for their side". Each sides. But overall they we're professional and the questions were relevant. For the most part. ... And then it was McCain's turn... Yeah... Don't know what happen to him but that was painful. And again. It wasn't a Fed document. It was his personal notes. Only his first meeting notes we're taken on a "classified laptop".

It was his personal notes in which he made sure there wasn't any classified material. Now to be sure of that he will have to ask his friend to give it back and show it. It was confirmed that the NY Times story, which is the source of the idea that there was collusion, was false. James Comey confirmed this and also confirmed that he was not investigating Trump. Here is the part of the testimony within a news article www.businessinsider.com/comey-new-york-times-story-russia-inaccurate-2017-6As I stated asking Comey if he could back off Flynn and asking if Comey would be loyal were not great moves on Trump's part, they look bad. However Trump asking him to back off Flynn is not akin to obstruction of Justice. Comey was free to continue on with the Flynn matter and did continue on. The FBI is still moving forward with it after Comey's firing. Comey's firing also did not stop any investigations into Russian meddling into the election or other cases so firing him is also not obstructing justice. Hopefully, for Comey's sake, the memo was not classified as you state. I've read that is was but the media isn't very trustworthy so maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Under the assumption that it wasn't classified it was still an untoward move by the former FBI director.
