Of course the Dems/Left are claiming he did it because Comey was getting close to something on Trump and Russia. Why the left is still harping on Russia is beyond me. The FBI knew before the election there was no evidence even suggesting an issue, they have even stated it but the media keeps it buried for some reason.
I think Comey should have been fired the minute he "recommended" no charges against Clinton. Since when does an investigating officer suggest what action to take to a DA or ADA? The investigating officer provides the information, it is up to the DA to determine if there is enough evidence to pursue charges. I also take offense that he let DC elite escape with the "well they didn't do it with intent". That is BULLSHIT! Well I didn't intend to run someone over while I was drunk so I am innocent, right? (no this did not happen)
I think his credibility was shot at that point.

It is about damn time, I thought he should have been fired after San Bernadino (I gave him a pass on dropping the ball with the Boston bombing). The FBI knew about the terrorists activities BEFORE the Boston Bombing, San Bernadino, and the FL nightclub attacks but did NOTHING.
Then, after all that, he inserted himself into the election in 2016 which I found highly inappropriate for the FBI to do. Comey has had to be corrected as recently as last week when he said there were "Thousands of classified documents forwarded to the husband of a Clinton staffer". Less than a week after making that claim the FBI had to clarify and say it was only 2 or 3. Then his flip flopping back on both sides of Russia.
This guy was WAY TOO POLITICAL to do the job properly and, after how he has handled terrorism investigation and the Clinton email matter he has no more credibility. He should have been fired by Obama after San Bernadino or Trump back in January/February but I guess it is better late than never.

Now I HOPE this is the case but I highly doubt it. I don't think Trump is going to push this!

Well, what do you answer to Dems/Left question: "Why now? Why not earlier?"
The media makes it seem this will make people trust Trump less, but you guys always seem understanding toward Trump. Myself, I'm impartial.

The only thing that stands to reason is that this latest blunder with the testimony and the FBI coming back to correct some of his statements were the final straw.
Him making a statement that Huma forwarded hundreds of thousands of emails, while under oath, to have the FBI come back and say it wasn't that many has to be part of it.
Also, why again did he "let it slide" that she was transferring classified documents to personal devices? His BS excuse about "intent" has to stop. That wouldn't work for ANYONE of us, right?
To me his credibility was shot a while back, these latest events just confirmed it even more. That is the only reason I can come up with right now. IF Trump was doing this to hide something, I would think this would have made it worse for him so I really don't buy that.

I wouldn't trust Trump, but the claims about his connections to Russia seem far fetched. In US, politicians make the weirdest accusations of their opponents. Obama wiretapping?
Truth doesn't matter if the story is good.

Comey also refused requests from the Justice Department (who is in charge of the FBI), in addition to his blunder, in the last month. One Request was the name of the individual(s) whom unmasked people illegally. There were a few more but I forget right now, I may search it up later. When Comey came out in July of 2016 and said that Clinton had broken several laws, statutes, and rules but that there would be no prosecution, is when he crossed the line into politics in a way that the FBI, and its employees, should never do. As for the question "Why now, why not earlier" I would have to say his most recent blunder (Claiming Clinton sent thousands of classified emails to her assistant when it was under a dozen) combined with denying the requests for info by the justice department (who is his boss) is why he was fired now. Should have been done in January/Feburary or even earlier by Obama, in my opinion.

I didn't even notice that linked Sanders' tweet. It just proves that all US politicians are full of shit and they shamelessly make accusations without evidence, Trump included. It's ridiculous, the level of distrust. The level of division. You aren't a healthy nation, man.

I edited my other post to answer your question about "why now" We haven't been a healthy nation, politics wise, since President Clinton lied under oath and got away with it. It got even worse under Bush, then atrocious under Obama, now its just a shitshow.
