Picked up a Pro Controller for my Switch
Edit: also picked up Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley
And since it seems you're the only one interested in hearing the great tale of the United Republic's War in Heaven, I'll continue:
It's been 90 years since the war started. And has gone greatly in my favor since after a troubled time in my frontier regions. The Xenophobes continued to cut up my territory without attacks planets directly for a long time. The Xenophobes started attacking systems with colonies in the North where my liberated then conquered "friends" were and bombing their homeworld and a sister system. These fleets were massive and 1st and Marine fleet 1 watched helplessly in reserves a few systems away as I try to build them up to be a worthy match against them. They even attacked marauder pirate systems to get to me.
In order to buy time and resources, I built 4th fleet which consisted of only corvettes and destroyers with point defense to capture unfortified systems. But as soon as their mission started. The closest Xenophobe fleet bombing my planets to mobilize towards them. As soon as they were far enough away, 1st fleet would try to take back systems including some fortified ones. This plan eventually backfired. One Xenophobe fleet got extra close to 1st fleet and I made jump jump towards to a shipyard (that was busy making the preparations to build titans) to escape. I thought I was safe, but I didn't account the enemy to use it's own jump drive into the system. SHIT! That's when I went "Fuck it" and used an ascension slot to do extra damage against them, but I knew it still wasn't enough to win, just take a bunch with me. I thought 1st fleet and Marine Fleet 1 were done for and I would lose my dreadnought. The battle was intense and took down a few of their ships, but I still ultimately lost the system and most of fleet both fleets. Thankfully, I didn't lose the dreadnought. 1st and Marine fleet are now in reserves. I now wait to build titans and reinforce 1st fleet and Marine Fleet 1. 3rd fleet is meanwhile attacking Xenophobe army ships coming from the South towards the planets being bombed.
2nd Fleet and Marine Fleet 2 are an unstoppable force in the Northwest of the galaxy. Only limited by it's slow speed. The Materialists are active in this part of the galaxy too. The Xenophobes rarely come here and when they do, it usually to fight the Materialists where both take heavy losses (YES! Weaken yourselves so I can get independence later!). The Xenophobes don't take much ground here. My angry wormhole neighbors were conquered by mostly me with the Materialists taking a significant Eastern chunk. I still took the homeworld. Their neighbor to the north use to be a constant enemy turned ally by the war. I took almost all of their territory as well except two non essential planets. The enemy to the South was the Khan's former empire. The Materialists badly cut up their territory before the War in Heaven started, so 2nd sat in reserves except when they send attack fleets.
Meanwhile, the Southwestern part of the Galaxy is a war torn mess. The [custom empire of the not Krogans from Mass Effect] were destroyed by allies of mine. My former greatest ally has been cut up to hell. I never fought a battle against them and a Xenophobe Thrall (and former ally of theirs) has been taking a ton of their territory and I'm guessing because of the Xenophobes unstoppable fleet. There are constant rebel states appearing which the Fallen Empires don't take huge notice of. The Machine Empire lost tons of territory to their former ally and distant enemy, so no longer border me.
Towards the end of 2nd Fleets campaign, it was given a Titan along with 1st and 3rd. The bombing Xenophobe fleets left and a time and never came back to fight elsewhere (Probably after I destroyed their armies). It was time for me to take back my systems and take the fight to them. I put 1st and 3rd at the Southern border with a combined Marine Fleet 1&2 after taking back my systems. My former ally to the south had lost a few planets to the Xenophobes and was in a constant tug of war match with one of my allies at a choke point at their Southwest border. Just beyond them were the Xenophobe worlds, so I could finally end this. Battle plan was to conquer all of my former ally with priority on captured Xenophobe systems. Then attack the Xenophobe main worlds.
As I attacked, a repeat of the beginning of the war happened. I advanced and Xenophobe fleets to mobilize towards me. But this time I was prepared. I let them come to me and 1st and 3rd fight a glorious battle and the enemy retreats. We both took on losses, but I held the line. I anther enemy fleet was right behind them, so I fall back to repair and reinforce. Now's time for round 3. I advance and the same thing happens again with a smaller enemy fleet and I have a decisive victory. I fight the fleet these two fleets in reducing size until I capture the two planets in the former allies space. The former ally is a much easier fight with little difficulty from the full power of two titan fleets. My only problem with them was being rather large.
I was finally at the Xenophobe borders. Each system taken was at the cost of many corvettes. and the home system took a few battle ships. As I took planets the Xenophobes would occasionally send their own fleets from the small number of systems they took for themselves . Only once sending one that was a serious threat to my efforts. The real progress stopper is was the defense armies in the home system planets. It was taking a paining long time until another threat came: The Scourge.
The Scourge hit a pretty barren part of the galaxy which only I and the Spiritualist Fallen Empire have access to. The War in Heaven decimated everyone's navy. So I have to retreat and fight the Scourge on my own with maybe the help of the Spiritualist empire if the scourge decide to attack them.

While 1st and 3rd were fighting the Xenophobes, I built up 4th fleet to a full sized fleet.
Battle plan: leave 3rd fleet and Marine fleet at the Xenophobe home system and maybe capture it while 1st, 2nd and 4th get into position. 1st Fleet will head to the Southern end, 2nd fleet and mothballed fallen fleet (that also happened) will protect the Northern end, while 4th fleet will retrofit to a anti-scourge fleet to eventually head to to North point. Other fleets will "upgrade" through reinforcements of lost ships (dark, I know). Hope the Scourge attack the Spiritualists too to take on the fire.
What actually happened: The Scourge sent their armies South for some reason to attack a primitive world. 1st fleet took care of that easily. The scourge sent 3/5s of their fleets to the Spiritualist home system. They held the line wave after wave of Scourge fleets and eventually were reduced to a tiny fleet and lost their star base. The Scourge had heavy losses to the final wave too. Meanwhile they sent fleets to my Northern point. I won every battle and took losses, but was always able to reinforce my fleets unlike the Spiritualists.
Once the Spiritualists lost their home star base, they took their remaining fleet in go around through my Northern point. They're not cooperating officially, but I'll take what I can get. Turns out the Scourge lost all of their main battle fleets after their last battle with me. They only had one combined vanguard fleet, army fleets, "civilian" ships, and star hives. The Spiritualists and I split up to clean up the remaining Scourge. 1st Fleet headed North and 2nd and 4th would head Southeast. The intergalactic invasion ended with minimal losses all things considered. The Spiritualists are now admittedly a juicy target with a tiny fleet, but it's only 3 years to 2500.
As I was fighting the Scourge, 3rd fleet finally captured the Xenophobe homeworld and now is in the process of capturing the neighboring moon. Then the easy part of capturing lightly defended systems so I can end this stupid century long galactic war. That might take a while though because they're a little spread out.
Then it's time to go full Thomas Paine and gain my independence!
