What can I say, consumers r a fickle lot; I think I have more options tho Well yeah, the whole idea behind the background track is to cover up the singer being shit. The beatles never played with a background track. In this case, I think its cuz she did her own b.g. vocals on the o.g. track. No one's ever gonna accuse her of being the best vocalist on earth, but that live performance was good imo. I'm comparing this to other performances that r blatantly lip-synced (as in little to no actual live singing), either cuz they involve a lot of dancing, or, as u said, the singers just aren't consistent/good
