so youre not happy working with the people youre assigned with huh... thats the point of the assignment genius.. once you get out of school (hopefully) you will find an actual job and guess what you will have to work with the people youre required to work with whether you like them or not.. and if you dont like it guess what either deal with it or find a new job and you will just find more people you dont like Usually I'm not happy with the people's effort nor their difficult schedules. For one of the assignments, I haven't even met my group face-to-face yet. Idk if I have said it before, but I'm gonna be a teacher, so working with difficult people will be a daily pleasure. But you're right, inadvertently, because interdisciplinary is the newest trend in education and college and I will be required to do hella more teamwork with my colleagues than those before me. Sigh. Maybe people had it easier in the good ol' days, but at least I've had internet.

Trying to play the original Socom and it's kind of a chore. Tried playing on a PS2 and found the controller's analog sticks to just not be up to the task. When I tried emulating it and using a PS4 controller instead, it helped with aiming, but then I found the movement to just not feel very good at all. Every attempt to walk instead of run felt like a roll of the dice and my character would go from crouched to standing on his own for some reason.

Steam Controller config saves the day, walking feels so much more consistent now.

I don't know if this was just a MAG thing (another Zipper game), but you automatically stand up when you sprint and crouch again as soon as you stop sprinting.

There's no sprint as far as I could tell. After playing a bit more, I noticed that my guy seemed to stand up whenever the front of him got to close to any geometry. Though I'm probably gonna stand up more often because the crouch walk speed is painfully slow.

Either way, I always heard SOCOM 2 is the better game. Though, that was always on reference to multiplayer. I never heard much about single player.

I've decided to divorce the PS Forums over there for a while, or at least go on a long Separation, and it's been a long time on the way. Looking at the vast majority posts, and noting that most are from MVP/Support persons is vindication for all of the posts and rank I had there, especially seeing them go at each other. Stupid fuckers, they're the one's who ran everyone off.
