With the Leafs win over the Pens they get 3rd place in the division and secure the last open spot for the playoffs. Updated the OP.

Well it's been quite a weekend for the Kings, their final 2 games of the season as was the final 2 games for legendary sports broadcaster for the L.A. Kings, Bob Miller. Ending his 44 year career. He is the only Kings broadcaster I know, and for many here too, as I grew up with him. Over 35 years I watched and listened to this guy. Outstanding gentleman and always a class act compared to some other NHL broadcasters. Never was bias and always gave credit when credit was due. As big as a Kings (hockey) fan as some you guys know, this was an emotional weekend as this is end of an era. Nothing but amazing memories. I never did get to meet Bob Miller, but I suppose there's still a chance since he'll be attending games here and there. For those that didn't see or hear his final Home telecast, I invite you to watch these final minutes during Saturday's Blackhawks game at Staples. It really was special. Sucks that last night vs. the Ducks in Anaheim, Kings lost in OT. That was Bob's final broadcast. So that's it for the Kings this season. Who knows what the next season holds but I have some ideas. Congrats again to your teams, Ikit and Plymco, glad your teams made it in. I do look forward to watching, no doubt. I think the Habs and Bruins will do well. I never thought I'd be rooting for Canadian teams so badly this playoffs. GO OILERS and GO FLAMES!

It stinks when you lose the long-term announcer, they become part of your experience. When NBC started carrying a lot of the playoff games about 10 years ago I remember the shock to my system with their announcers, lol. I still yell at Pierre's announcing constantly on NBC .

Habs in 6 Sens in 7 Caps in 5 Pens in 6 (CBJ had a horrible end of season!)
