Already bought the DLC. The gear you get doesn't look very fresh. Just a t-shirt over a long sleeve and reskinned headphones, both with the octo logo on them. I haven't even seen anyone wearing it a few days after the direct, so I don't think I'm alone in thinking this.

>makes no way to back up saves >pushes out update that causes third-party docks to brick switches >save backups is now a bigger deal >only way to back up saves gated behind a monthly fee
Fucking Nintendo.

Not surprised. Sony and X box do that as well with theirs as well. Backing up saves onto the cloud. If I do get a Switch some day though, I'm not going with their family plan. Price is fine, but they want people to put up their credit card or PayPal in order to get it (para-phrasing here). And that's a BIG no. Given any issues with auto-renew and with using those kinds of services (especially via Sony, seen my share where people aren't able to buy anything since their card/PayPal is turned down). So I'd be going with the $20 one. At least I can get that one via Eshop cards.

Apparently Xbox's cloud services are free.

Glad that Sony still has that other option. Tried backing up my 3 onto a hard drive I had, but I didn't have enough space to do so. Going to have to get another drive some day.
