Those things are pretty much intertwined, don't you think?
Now, why the fuck would I make the argument that the originals have technically better graphics? Hell, the Moon is made out of cheese, while we're at it.
Fair enough, I should have used an alternative for "graphics", but if you saw the video and if you read my comment, you should make out what I meant. By graphics I meant how everything looks (+ sounds) to create the mood and feel.

I see the point you're trying to make ID, and I certainly agree games fall under the category of art, there's no debate there. The difference is if they had the tech to make Crash look like this in the 90s, they would have. That was one of the major selling points of the game was how ridiculous it looked for the time. Naughtydog was getting power out of the PS1 that nobody else could, including SONY themselves.
It's not like they had access to realistic fur meshes, god rays, and anti aliasing and decided "Nah, let's make it look like it's made out of crude polygons, that's our vision"

I do agree with one thing. It is hilarious to see all these scrubs who have played nothing but hand holding games their whole life getting their assholes fisted by some classic 90s nonsense.Yeah, I love the Dark Souls meme.

THANK YOU Setz for understanding where I come from. No one needs to agree with me, but it's rather n. furiating when I can't get my point across.
I think it's funny because if there weren't hardware limitations, there surely wouldn't be Crash. You see, Crash was born because of the limitations, not restricted by them. Everything about Crash is to make it work on its original platform. So had they better technology, there wouldn't be Crash.
Now, I cannot get inside the developers' heads. I can't see the original vision. BUT I trust Naughty Dog, and I trust they could make the vision come true as much as anybody can see their vision come to life. The "poorer" graphics play a part in creating the feel, but everything works so perfectly together I can't see that the outcome was a mere accident.
So I think Vicarious Visions' creative liberties do not match the original vision, but I have no way to prove this. In some ways the better tech is to the detriment of the game. See N. Brio animations in Crash 2. It's over the top crazy. VV could make his head move like that so they made it that way. It's just one example, but I'm just saying it's different, not necessarily better.

It's pretty non-news at this point that it's coming to at least Xbone. I think it's great they can have proper games on Xbox, but again, we need rules regarding exclusivity deals. The marketing was misdirecting (hinting at PS4 exclusivity, no word about "timedness"). People bought PS4 consoles for this game. Sony took advantage of keeping people in the dark.

Marketing was shady, but people should have used some common sense. Buying an entire console for one game is kinda dumb. Should have just waited, as if will likely be on PC as well.

A Switch port was announced during today's Nintendo Direct. I'm curious to see how this version runs compared to the PS4.
EDIT: Also Xbone and Steam. Great that more people can play these games.

Glad I waited, hope the PC version isn't locked at 30.
